Article: Marketing Your Art #5

How to price your artwork by SKC

One question that has come up time and time again, especially among artists new to marketing and exhibiting is how to price their artwork. There truly is no single way to approach this issue that would apply for every artist, but perhaps the most reasonable is to “charge” an hourly rate as you work and add on the cost of your materials and expenses.

We all know that size doesn’t necessarily equate to effort. I often found in my larger works that the piece took me less time than something half the size, yet something even smaller, say 6” or under, took almost no time at all. The key is to make sure that you get paid for the time you put into a piece. Using the hourly rate method will help you do this.

In addition, whatever hourly rate you pick needs to take into account the subtraction of sales commissions from exhibition venues. So for example, let’s say you have a piece that took you 10 hours to complete. Let’s compare three possible price points.

10 hours at $15 is $150 (plus expenses)
Subtract your typical gallery commission 40% and you walk away with $90 for your time or roughly $9 per hour.

10 hours at $40 is $400 (plus expenses)
Subtract your typical gallery commission of 40% and you walk away with $240 for your time or roughly $24 per hour.

10 hours at $70 is $700 (plus expenses)
Subtract your typical gallery commission of 40% and you walk away with $420 for your time or roughly $42 per hour.

There is no limit to what you can choose to charge per hour. We’ve all heard stories that it will always be your highest priced piece that sells first. Or that if you want to move your work, in the beginning, it has to be priced low. I don’t believe there are any hard and fast rules here. No one knows better than you do, just how much effort you put into your artwork.

If you are still unsure if the rate you have in mind results in a “reasonable price,” you may want to research galleries locally and online to see what the average price is for a piece similar to yours. The price will vary greatly between artists depending on their establishment in the art market, desirability and even occasionally by their locale (although the Internet is helping to break that down).

Be sure that the hourly rate you charge results in what you comfortable with for your time and effort. Don’t forget, that as an artist you are also spending a great deal of “non-billable” hours marketing yourself. So, not only are you putting hours into the actual work of art, but you are also spending time seeking out venues, preparing exhibitions, creating your marketing materials, managing your inventory, etc. Be fair to yourself. You should absolutely never end up giving your time away.

Pricing No no’s
Regional Pricing
I touched briefly on the idea that artwork is valued differently depending on where it hangs. This concept is fading away as more and more artists present their work online and in a gallery with an online presence.

Consider your buyer. You’re working to foster as many artist-to-collector relationships as possible. One part of that equation is that your buyer has to feel that they are getting a fair price for your work, the same price anyone might pay. If because they live in a metropolitan area, you offer them the price of $1200 for a piece, but your gallery in small town in Ohio is selling the same work (or similar works) for $800, you are playing a very dangerous game. Should that buyer find your Ohio gallery, the best case scenario is that you lose the sale and never hear from them again. Worst case is that you lose the sale and they end up posting online or sharing with a large number of friends and acquaintances that you have shady business practices.

Different venue, different retail price
The idea of using the same pricing follows through for all exhibition venues (regardless of their commission), so that each gallery gets a fair shake and all your potential buyers and collectors see that your artwork holds the same value. If you offer a higher retail price to one gallery over another, and they find out, you risk losing that gallery and facing serious backlash. Galleries can be extremely protective of their artists. With the right gallery, you can gain a great deal of exposure, collectors, sales, and even additional venues and exhibition opportunities. In this way, they are your business partners, so treat them as fairly as you wish to be treated yourself.

Selling wholesale or near wholesale to buyers directly
Some artists will offer buyers their artwork for less than they are selling for in galleries and exhibition venues. In this way, they hope to build that buyer into a collector. Absolutely, your buyer will feel they are getting a special deal, and no doubt they will come back directly to you for future sales (therefore cutting out the middle man). This may sound great on the surface; however, consider the venues you use to gain exposure and initial introduction to your artwork. Going behind their back and making the sale after the exhibition closes essentially leaves them unpaid for their time and effort. Understand that many gallery owners are well aware of each other. If you believe that you can safely undercut galleries and continue to find exhibition opportunities, you may find yourself sorely disappointed.

In general, you should always adhere to the golden rule. Treat your buyers and those who help gain you exposure as an artist as fairly as you would wish to be treated. Absolutely everyone has to be paid for their efforts and of course that includes you.

Those connected with the Space Coast Jazz Festival wish to thank Russ Taylor for his beautiful design (pictured here) for the official T-shirt of the festival. They said, "He did such an outstanding job,and we are so appreciative of his talent donation to the festival and the Smooth Jazz Cares Tropical Storm Fay Benefit."

Taylor is not new to applying his talents to design T-shirts or magazine covers. And now the News for the week:

See Famous Artists' Work At Melbourne Beach Library

Not everyone can travel to the Louvre in Paris or the Metropolitan in NYC to enjoy the greatest of the great in art masterpieces. But a quick trip to the Melbourne Beach Library on the corner of Ocean Ave. and A-1-A will help satisfy the need of local art lovers to see some of the world's most famous paintings.

Beginning October 28, the library will display "Friends & Faux," a collection of copies done by a group of local artists known collectively as the Pieces of Eight. This will be the final opportunity to see the collection publicly.

"The pieces were painted as we studied the masters in an attempt to learn some of their time-tested techniques," explains Jini James, founder of the group. "We began by reading about Mary Cassatt and copying her work. It was so valuable that we began choosing other artists. The collection includes Picasso, Vermeer, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Klimt, Degas and many others."

The show has been popular for several reasons Not only are the pieces recognizable, but they are shown with educational materials that remind the viewers of when the work was done originally and what is particularly notable about it.

Because the collection will no longer be shown in its entirety and since many of the pieces have been sold, a book version of the project is now available for purchase. "The Masters' Pieces" contains over 30 full-color reproductions of sixteen famous painters. It can be ordered on-line for $14.00 by going to http://www.piecesof8.net/ and clicking on the book cover. The book contains additional historical and biographical information about each painter making it an easy way to learn more about the overall development of art.

The exhibit at the Melbourne Beach Library will run through December 2, 2008. The Pieces of 8 include Jini James, Cindy Michaud, Donna Vines, Carmen Beecher, Carol Schiff, Mary Warnick, Denette Schweikert, and Suzanne Peiffer.

"Arabesque"

Riverside Drive.

Dillen is calling her latest body of work the "Water Circus" series. It's imaginary, fun and includes never-before-seen images that leap and tumble from canvas to canvas. She guarantees that they will dazzle your eyes. She doesn't know where the ideas came from but says that they are "whimsical" ... "off the wall" ... and "unexpected." She encourages her audience to write their own stories around the new paintings.

The exhibit dates are November 1 through 22, 2008.

Directions to Harris House: Harris House and its parking lot are at 214 S. Riverside Drive (corner of Riverside and Douglas Streets). If you are coming up 1-95, take exit 249 onto State Hwy 44. Head east to New Smyrna Beach. Merge onto W. Canal St/SR - 44/State Rd. 44. Turn left at Live Oak Street; then turn right at Douglas Street.

Article: Marketing Your Art #4

Sales Commission and Consignment Agreements by SKC
No matter what sort of venue you have your artwork on display at, you will want to make sure that the obligations of both sides are clear up-front. Will they be handling sales? OR are will that responsibility fall onto your shoulders? Either way, should the venue get commission from sales, and if so, how much?

It is most common for the venue to be involved in handling sales inquiries and in many cases, handling the actual sales transactions. In either case, you will want to have a consignment agreement signed by both you and the venue so that everyone is clear on how sales should be conducted, the price of the artwork, if discounts are permitted (and how much), and who is responsible for the insurance on the artwork if any.

Below is an example of a simple consignment agreement. You can add to this any special terms, responsibilities, or incentives you wish.

Be sure to include in your agreement the following:
1. The names of the artist(s) and the venue manager/owner
2. The physical address of the venue
3. The date(s) the event will occur
4. Who is responsible for handling sales (artist, venue, both?)
5. What percentage of sales will go to the artist and what percentage will go to the venue
6. Who is liable for the safety of the artwork and at what cost

Then for each piece of artwork, list:
1. Title
2. Medium
3. Dimensions
4. Condition
5. Price
6. Lowest negotiable price
7. Any special notes or information
(for example, you may need to note that some pieces are “NFS,” or “not for sale” if they are on loan from collectors or your own private collection).

You may choose to add in special incentives, say, if the venue is willing to make a sale on artwork not currently on display with them by showing collectors your website. You could offer them a commission for each instance. Another thing that has come up quite often in my own experience is the request from gallery patrons regarding my ability/willingness to do commissions. Whatever your interest is in taking on custom work, be sure to note it.

Deciding on commission:
When it comes to deciding what commission, or percentage of your sales the venue should be able to take, consider how much the venue will bring to the table for your exhibition.
Non-traditional venues: Coffee shops, libraries, etc.

Because the venue is not a traditional gallery, its staff is not likely trained to sell artwork. As a result, you should not be expected to pay the same percentage that you would pay at a brick-and-mortar gallery (if any at all).

This is especially true if the staff does not want to handle sales at all but will instead refer interested parties to you by phone, email, or website (encouraging a potential seller to contact the artist directly often will cause the buyer to back-away and in many cases will lose potential sales). If the venue will not be assisting in catering, promotion (i.e. invitations & printed materials), or hanging, you should not be required to offer a sales commission. You will after all, be reporting your exhibition to the local press and your artist’s mailing list. The venue can expect a bump in patrons thanks to your event.

However, if the venue is willing to handle sales, and take checks & credit card transactions for you, by all means there should be a certain percentage to cover the banking fees and encourage them to place your artwork with collectors. Somewhere between 10 and 25 percent would be reasonable, and more is possible if the venue has experience exhibiting and a record of selling artwork.

Traditional venues: galleries, alternative art spaces, etc.
Gallery commissions can vary greatly. I’ve shown in places where the percentage was a mere 15 percent, and I’ve shown in places where 50 percent was expected — I’ve even heard of 60 to 70 percent, which is beyond comprehension, but does happen.
If you are setting up this event yourself, and you are taking care of the publicity, invitations, food, and all other arrangements, it would be unreasonable for a gallery or any other venue to take more than 30 percent. When negotiating this aspect, remember that you will be bringing the venue some new business as well as some good publicity. Use those facts as negotiation points if necessary.

Signing the Consignment Agreement
Once you have all the details squared away on your consignment agreement, leave a space at the bottom for both your signature and the venue manager’s/owner’s signature and print two copies. You both will sign each copy, and this way you each will have an original document for your records. Most often this agreement will be signed at the time the work is delivered. If the venue requires that you sign an agreement prior to the delivery of the work, exclude the artwork details and deliver an inventory checklist along with your artwork at the time of the exhibition set up. The inventory checklist should include all the information for each piece (as listed above) and a space for the venue manager’s signature to confirm the receipt of the work.

Talking points:
Have you every exhibited at a venue where there was no written agreement? What’s the highest commission you’ve agreed to pay a venue for sales?

Artist Profile - Therese Ferguson

Artist of the Month -- Therese Ferguson

Therese Ferguson just returned from Delray Beach where her painting "Green Bromeliads" was accepted into the 2008 Florida Watercolor Society Show. The painting will hang at the Cornell Museum of Art through the middle of November. She was awarded the Alan R. Chiara Memorial Award and the Daler Rowney Award for this painting. As you can readily see, congratulations are in order. Her paintings stand out due to the strength of her composition and her attention to detail and vibrant colors.
Therese has been working in graphic arts and design for over 30 years. Her major emphases include watercolor and painting on gourds. In addition, she has perfected cutting the gourds into decorative designs. In following her artistic path to the present, she went through periods of designing candles as well.

Therese is very active in the community as her recent and upcoming activities reflect. She just recently painted one of the fiberglass turtles for the Children's Home Society fundraiser, "Turtle Hatchlings." The turtles were auctioned on September 27th. If you haven't seen her turtle, picture it in your mind. First her turtle's name was Sally. She painted Sally to depict a Florida tourist who wasn't afraid to venture here even with the threat of hurricanes. To that end, she gave Sally a bright turquoise shirt with flowers, shorts, sunglasses in her pocket and bright red lips.
Another community project that sought Therese's participation is the Brevard County Art Teacher's Fundraiser. For that project, she painted a stool to help them raise funds. You can view the stools during the First Friday of October Art Walk in downtown Eau Gallie on October 3, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The stools will be on display at various businesses on Highland Avenue. Therese's stool will probably be on display at the Art and Antique Gallery at 1419 Highland Avenue where she is a member. Hers has a beautiful white heron on top with a black base. She admitted, "Doing it was contagious, while painting it, I could just imagine doing a whole series of stools with birds, fish, shells, and animals on them." There will be a silent auction for the stools.

Some of the upcoming art events on the horizon for Therese are:
She will participate in ArtWorks this year. This is the Eau Gallie outdoor art festival. It is scheduled for November 22 and 23, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The beauty of ArtWorks is that the artists not only display their work, but they demonstrate their craft during the show. Be sure to stop by to see Therese during the show.
She will be in the Brevard Watercolor Society's SPLASH show in February also. So, watch for information about that show.
And, you can always see her work at the Art and Antique Studio & Gallery at 1419 Highland Avenue in downtown Eau Gallie. Be sure to stop by the gallery when you are in the area.
In addition to painting, Therese teaches through the Brevard County School Board's Adult Continuing Education. You can obtain information about the classes on their web site or by calling the gallery at 321-253-5553. And, there is always a flyer posted at the Melbourne Art Supply Store.

Therese is so busy that she says it's sometimes hard to find time to paint for herself. Of her approach to painting she said, "When I work on a full sheet, I work in a lot of detail and this takes a long time to work out. By the time I have a painting drawn, I have worked on it so long that I have a good idea where I am going. I am constantly recomposing areas as I paint to improve composition and to make it a stronger painting, one that will grab you when you see it."

Her technique is working. Her paintings are wonderful. To see more of her paintings visit the gallery website at http://www.artandantiquestudio.com/ and click on her name. Or better yet... stop by the Art and Antique Studio and Gallery and see her paintings in person.

Concert to Support the Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard, Inc.
The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded to provide special grants to young and mature artists in the fields of music, dance, and visual arts. To raise funds to help artists, the foundation is presenting "Sunday with the Performing Arts" on November 23rd, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gleason Auditorium on the campus of FIT.

The audience will be treated to ten or more of Brevard's best, including a string quartet, ballet, singers, flute, piano, harp, with special performances by the multi-talented Deborah Moyer (violin and voice), Saverio Barbieri (vocalist who has performed at the Met) and prodigy violinist, Esther Muradov who has soloed at Carnegie Hall and who was the first recipient of a grant from the foundation.
Check the November issue of Brevard Florida Live magazine when it comes out for a more in-depth story of how the foundation was formed. For now, suffice it to say that it's providing needed grants to artists. Let's get behind this effort to help our own.

You can help in two ways. Buy a ticket for $25.00 (tax deductible) for the concert. If you can't attend, you can still help by sending in a tax-deductible donation.
As a bonus, there will be a silent auction at the beginning of the evening. The silent auction will be filled with paintings and sculpture donated by prominent artists as well as jewelry worth thousands offered by Don Traver of My Private Jeweler in Suntree (http://www.theprivatejeweler.com/) 321-757-0770.

Let's make sure there's a full house at "Sunday with the Performing Arts." Checks for tickets and for special donations should be made out to Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard, Inc and sent to Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard, Inc.; 1861 S. Patrick Dr. #117; Indian Harbor Beach, FL 32937.
Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's Shuttles Orbiting the Space Coast
Pictured here, Vicki Busby works on the shuttle assigned to her in the Shuttles Orbiting the Space Coast program.
Eight-foot space shuttles have been assigned to artists who submitted detailed plans. Now, they are busy working their magic on the shuttles.

This program is to raise funds for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation through sponsorship of individual shuttles. The shuttles will be displayed at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in November 2008. Then they will be exhibited for approximately 8 months at locations chosen by the sponsors. After that, they will be auctioned. For more information about this project, visit http://www.astronautscholarship.org/shuttles/.

Artworks... It's almost here.

Mark your calendars... it's almost time for the ArtWorks Eau Gallie Fine Art Festival. The event this year is scheduled for November 22 and 23 on Highland Avenue in Old Eau Gallie. More than 100 artists will display and demonstrate their art. This year they have $12,000 of prize money with a portion of it set aside to reward artists for the best demonstrations.

ArtWorks includes activities for the whole family. There will be a children's area for face painting and art projects. And music and food will be offered in another area.

Lolly Walton, president of the Brevard Watercolor Society, won the 2008 poster contest. Her painting Captain Heron will be part of the permanent collection of the Melbourne International Airport and will be duplicated on posters and t-shirts that will be sold at the information booth at ArtWorks.
Also, don't miss the galleries, the museum and the show by the Brevard Porcelain Artists called "Touch of Elegance" at the Eau Gallie Civic Center. And, the Florida Chalk Artists are participating this year for the first time. So, be sure to stop by this wonderful festival. With so much to see and do, plan to go early and stay all day.

Opportunity for Artists: Tropical Storm Fay Brings Floods, Jazz and Art Together

Artists Needed : This is coming up on the weekend. Act Now.

The effects of Tropical Storm Fay on August 20th, 2008, will be felt for a long time by the residents of Florida.

Fay received national attention from dozens of celebrity Smooth Jazz Artists who have responded. These musicians saw Tropical Storm Fay's devastation on the Melbourne area and began calling the radio station with concern, because many have performed here for WGRV, The Groove's famous Smooth Jazz Nights Out.

Musicians across the nation offered to do a benefit concert. As a consequence, WGRV, The Groove, has created a Tropical Storm Fay Flood Relief Fund that will benefit from the proceeds of the Space Coast Jazz Festival on October 25th and 26th, 2008. The festival will raise funds to purchase materials needed for repairs and to benefit residents.

Artists are needed: This call is going out to artists. The Space Coast Jazz Festival will have an Artist's Walk where artists can show and sell their art. Artists will bring their own tents and tables and pay a $100 vendor's fee. There will be no commission charged for the artwork that they sell.

Please support this effort by signing up today to be one of the artists at the Space Coast Jazz Festival.

Contact Jan Julian (Jan@TheGroove.org; 321-412-9888) for more information. To see a vendor application, go to http://www.spacecoastjazzfestival.com/.

Entitled Windows of Enduring Color, it features over 80 color plates much like the first book in 2002, Windows of Enduring Beauty. Congratulations to Lori Knerick. In a recent meeting of The Scribblers of Brevard - a writers' group that meets at the Eau Gallie library twice a month - Lori Knerick's altered photograph "A Bright Voyage" was chosen for the cover of Driftwood (an anthology of poetry, short stories and art). The photograph captures a solitary duck and small sailboat with sails at rest in a peaceful, yet vivid harbor.

Renee Decator's book, Road Trip, impressions of a memory is available. It is a compilation of artwork and stories inspired by a road trip she took last summer with her 86-year-old father and 18-year-old son. They went to the roots of her father's childhood in the mountains of West Virginia and Kentucky. The book contains 60 pages of art and stories. It can be purchased at the Fifth Avenue Art Gallery in Eau Gallie or at her website: http://www.shop.reneedecator.com/ or if you are local, you can purchase it directly from the artist by emailing her at decatjr@aol.com.

Pieces of 8: Hot off the press!! The Masters' Pieces, a compilation of well-loved art as copied by The Pieces of 8, is now available for purchase. The resulting show has been exhibited several times as "Friends and Faux" and will appear once again in November 2008 at the Melbourne Beach Public Library. A great gift for an art lover or someone just learning about the masters, the book is only $14.00 and can be ordered by going to http://www.piecesof8.net/ and clicking on the small copy of the book.

From Painting to Book Cover
One of Nancy Dillen's paintings, "Lay By," owned by Brevard Community College English professor and author David Johansson, is going to be on the cover of his first novel, Skin of Sunset. Galleries

Art and Antique Studio at 1419 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. The featured artists for the month of October at the Art and Antique Studio and Gallery are a group of six porcelain painters. The following artists are participating in this exhibit:

Trish Kern and Ardis Reihs. They were introduced to porcelain painting by their moms and both began porcelain painting in the 1970s. Reihs began teaching porcelain painting in 1989.

Denice Van Waardenburg became hooked on porcelain painting in the 1970s when she and her husband were living in Brazil. Her favorite subjects are the animals, people, and wildlife of the land of her birth, Africa.

Sue Franklin discovered the mystique of porcelain painting in the 1990's and began learning the art with the late Elaine Bowen, one of the founders of today's Brevard Porcelain Artists.

Pat Blaga and Pat Sams have painted in oil for 30 years or more. Prior to her retirement, Blaga taught oil and acrylic painting and owned a retail store. Sams' involvement in the art came about because she could find no porcelain tiles on the island with Aruba scenes when she took a trip back "home." She decided to make her own.

Their art will be on display throughout the month of October.

Art Gallery and Studio of Melbourne, 802 East New Haven Avenue, Downtown Melbourne, 321-729-9368.

Featured Artist for the month of October is Barbara Perlmutter. Perlmutter's exhibit of "Jewish Religious Art" depicts that women's role in religion has changed in the past seventy years in the conservative and reform movements. A painting "Love of Torah" is one that Perlmutter painted after her granddaughter's bat mitzvah. It expresses her feelings for women having the opportunity to participate in this special ritual.

During the holiday season of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, women throughout the world will have the privilege of participating in all the religious rituals.

Be sure to stop by to see this exhibit. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 11 to 5 p.m.

The newest members of the gallery are Gloria Summerford, Barbara Paul, Laura Rabbits, and Trish Storey. There will be a special reception to welcome them on Thursday, November 6th at 7:00 p.m.

Note: The Art Gallery and Studio is looking for one more artist. If you are interested in joining the Art Gallery and Studio, contact Diane Koenig (321) 501-5835 or Susan Kessler at (321) 723-8736. This would be a good time to join. Once this position is filled, it'll be a while before the gallery will add members.

Brevard Art Museum. Two exhibits are running simultaneously from September 19 to November 9. They are:

Options: Political Cartoons. The museum welcomes Pat Oliphant, Doug MacGregor, Don Adams, Jeff Parker of the Florida Today, and numerous accomplished artists, who use humor and line to comment on the political issues of contemporary society.

Family Ties: Three Generations. Judy Gelles has spent 30 years navigating feminism, motherhood, and developing as an artist. With determination and humor, Gelles provides a social commentary on our lives. Utilizing three generations of family artifacts, Gelles relocates the past, present, and future.

Be sure to stop by to see both exhibits.

The Downtown Gallery in Titusville: The unveiling of the newly expanded showroom at the Downtown Gallery was held on Friday evening, September 12th with an opening reception. Different media are showcased, including tropical paintings, bronze sculpture, elegant hand-crafted jewelry, black and white photography and grand landscape photography. The Downtown Gallery is located at 335 S. Washington Avenue (US 1) in charming downtown Titusville. For more information, call 321-268-0122. The picture is "A Magical Moment in Time" taken in Glacier National Park by artist Dale Nichols. And the sculpture is "Infinity" by artist Yure Lima de Alencar.

Fifth Avenue Art Gallery at 1470 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. The public is invited to the Fifth Avenue Art Gallery to see the exhibit by renowned watercolorist Jean Grastorf. You will want to see what pouring watercolor does to make her paintings extraordinary. She infuses movement, light, and color into her watercolors to inspire, captivate and entice viewers. Gastorf normally paints with transparent watercolors, but she has added gouache and acrylics to her repertoire. These more opaque pigments enhance and contrast the transparent watercolor washes.

The exhibit will be on display through October 30th. For more information call 321-259-8261 or visit the gallery online at http://www.fifthavenueartgallery.com/. The Gallery is located at 1470 Highland Avenue in Eau Gallie.

Opportunities and Services

October: National Art & Framing Month
Thousands of frame shops and art galleries will be celebrating with a variety of special events and programs designed to promote the enjoyment of art as a part of daily life.

Founded in 1997, National Art and Framing Month is an opportunity to "Picture the Possibilities" that art and framing can bring to homes, offices, and public spaces.

Vivian C. Kistler, director of the NA&FM Council, believes that individual businesses can play a key role in generating interest in the arts. "For the past few decades, budget cuts have forced schools to reduce or even eliminate art programs. It is now more important than ever for frame shops and art galleries to help the public understand and enjoy art."

Art has been an important part of human society since the earliest scrawlings on cave walls, and picture framing preserves and displays artwork to hang on the walls of homes, offices, and public spaces. National Art and Framing Month shines a spotlight on this essential aspect of our culture.

To "Picture the Possibilities" that art and framing can do for you, stop by Art Expressions and help us celebrate. Art Expressions is located in the Eau Gallie Arts District at: 1404 Highland Avenue. http://www.artexpressionsfinecustomframing.com/.
