Register now for "Pine Needle Baskets" with Viola Pace Knudsen. Pine needle baskets have existed for hundreds of years and are often associated with Native American artistry. These baskets are formed using a technique called "coiling" where the basket is built up by lashing or stitching bundled pine needles together until the basket reaches the desired size and shape. In this two-day class, Viola Pace Knudsen will share her know how in constructing these beautiful baskets. Students can expect to go home with a small versatile basket and the knowledge to be able to make more later on with what they have learned. Call 321-722-6000 by June 3rd to register.
