Bamboo Day

Last Friday was Bamboo Day. There's a bit more to the hobby of collecting bamboo than other hobbies. For example, if you collect stamps or bottle caps; you pick up the stamp or bottle cap, put it in your pocket, take it home, and put it in your stamp or bottle cap book.

Not so with bamboo. Here is a pictorial accounting of what a bamboo collector... we'll call him Agriculture Man and his lovely assistant (Bamboo Babe)... went through on their latest excursion....

The first step is to survey the bamboo. It's important to choose just the right variety.

Next, Agricluture Man cuts and trims the bamboo...

















then Agriculture Man and his lovely assistant haul the bamboo to the car.


Note: It's probably not as easy to transport bamboo if you don't have a sunroof. So, I guess the first step is to buy or borrow a car with a sunroof.

The last step in the acquisition phase is to transport the bamboo to your home.

A word of warning... If it rains, everybody gets wet.
